Modern Technology Loop
Connecting people to assistive listening!
Looping Technology
The loop system consists of a microphone to pick up the spoken word; an amplifier which processes the signal which is then sent through the final piece; the loop cable, a wire placed around the perimeter of a room or sanctuary to act as an antenna that radiates the magnetic signal to the hearing aid.

With the flip of the hearing aid’s telecoil switch, any sound distance between a speaker on a podium and the listener in that auditorium is eliminated, allowing the hearing aid user to hear the speaker clearly and without background noise.

Loop systems can be used in commercial businesses, churches, homes, classrooms, reception desks, and other public spaces. There are so many places where looping systems can make a real difference.
This system consists of a loop wire that goes around the listening area and connects to an amplifier that transmits sound to the hearing aid. These hearing loop systems are both stationary and portable.
Loop users describe the sound through a hearing loop as similar to the sound coming from inside their own heads! The loop literally turns the microphone at the lectern or podium into the microphone on a user’s hearing aid. No headset or receiver is required for hearing aids with a t-coil, as the t-coil acts as a receiver for the user!

Sound Quality
“Parishioners with hearing difficulties enjoy the distinctiveness and clarity of sound, making worship service much more meaningful.”
St Mary's, Grand Forks, ND
Great Sound
“We love the hearing loop that has been installed by Modern Technology. Parishioners can hear and enjoy services with clarity and great sound. We are very grateful for this hearing technology.”
St Paul's Episcopal, Grand Forks, ND
Clarity of Sound
“The Pastors voice was very difficult to hear without the loop. I could not hear half of what was said before. Now I can hear everything the Pastor says. I never go to shows but I would go in a minute if the facility was looped.”
Grand Forks, ND
Excellent Sound
“I attended a funeral at Calvary; the reception from the loop system was excellent and couldn’t be better.”
Grand Forks, ND
Sound Clarity
“[The looping system] transmits all the information electromagnetically, not digitally, so the clarity for me is much better…It’s been a real blessing.”
on St Pauls Episcopal Church, Grand Forks, ND
Clear Sound
“This System allows me to clearly hear and participate in the worship service.”
member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fisher, MN
Amazing Sound
“It is Godsend. Absolutely amazing. I have no excuse for falling asleep during a sermon now!”
Grand Forks, ND
Fantastic Clarity
“I attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. Surroundings were noisy but I heard way beyond what I expected. It was fantastic, crystal clear, like someone talking five feet away in a sound proof room.”
on St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN
Precise Sound
“At St. Mary’s Church hearing with my hearing aids through the loop system is amazing. I can hear the speaker’s words and voice so clearly and precisely. Every movement comes alive such as the pastor turning the pages and breaking the host. If this was available in public places it would be so valuable for the hard of hearing. There are so many potential places where this could help many people to attend events where they have difficulty hearing. ”
